Brighter day

Yesterday was gruesome.   Terribly busy with analyzer malfunctions to boot!

This morning my hubby made me  ham, egg and cheese on a toasted bagel.  Yummy!

Work is slower...still fighting analyzer issues but it's a work in progress.

Dr C. bought us lunch today.... Jimmy John's.....delicious!  Thanks Dr.C. !

Had a hankering for a Diet Pepsi with none in sight.  (There is a vending machine down the hall but it is like $1.40 for a bottle....ouch!)  So,  when my coworker C had to run an errand I asked her if she could  get me a Diet Pepsi.  The sweetheart bought me one!   Thank you C....you rock!!

Today is definitely a brighter day.......funny how the brightness seems to revolve around food.

Curenament

We played in a sand volleyball tournament to raise money for Relay for Life.  This is the 4th annual event sponsored by the clinic I work at.  It began as a mad rush to shave my legs (because I will not be seen in shorts in broad daylight with unshaven legs even if the sunscreen will sting when applied)  and get out of the house to drop Carter off at a friends.  It really should not be a mad rush because, as my cousin pointed out to me, these things never start on time.  Very wise C, very wise indeed.

We played 7 games. Won only 1, but we had a great time and helped raise money for a good cause.   All the teams out there were really fun to play.  It was a great day!

We got a few pics from the tourney.   As usual I failed to get a full team shot.   One of these years it will happen.

This is part of my team enjoying a beer.....it's 5 o'clock somewhere boys!

This is B. Her team rocked.

The 2 guys in the back are my co-workers B and P.  We played them pretty evenly.... still lost but it was close.

The team we won against had ingested several choice beverages by the time we played them.....it still counts.

Our fearless leader A manning the bracket table.

This is C. We did not get to play her team.....I'm sure if had we probably would have lost that one too. Ha!

What a great day and a fun way to raise money for cancer research!

Pool Play

I found Carter a pool at Neatrepeatz this spring.  Last fall I found him a swing set.

So we put them together and had our own water park.

He is learning to scoot on his bottom to go down stairs and get off the bed/couch....and apparently go down the slide.

We got a sprinkler out too. He is fascinated with running water,  I think all kids go through that phase.  He also loves to wash his hands.

.

I love this picture.  It is so cute how they are both focused on the same thing.

*Neatrepeatz is a kids consignment sale held twice a year.  For more info click here.
